I saw the '6 in 12 Adult Reading Challenge' and got excited about it and put some books on hold and started reading one of them but now I am not sure
they will count since it is still 2011. Should I return the books and get them next week?

I'm sorry, i don't understand your question. The 6 in 12 program is merely resolving to read 6 books in 12 months. It's very simple. If you would like to read more books than that, you are welcome to read as many as you like. In the same sense, if you find yourself unable to read all six books, there aren't any penalties. The goal is to get adults reading. It's okay to begin reading your first book -- as long as you finish it after January 1st.
