According to earthquake experts, if your ship is on the open sea, you probably wouldn't feel an earthquake or tsunami. However, a tsunami, the product of an ocean-based earthquake, builds power and energy when it reaches shallower water. Therefore, a ship in a harbor would be at far greater risk than if it were out at sea.
