Can I sign my daughter up my library card for summer reading program? She is only 14 months and I have not got her a library card yet.

Do I sign her up with her name or mine to register her for reading program. I want to read to her and earn her free books. I use to do this with my older kids and they loved it each summer. I want to do the same for her. I use to do the reading program when we had to turn in the list each time now it is online. Please help. I started to enroll her but I think I am going to start over when I Find out info because I started out entering my information and I think I may have to be hers and she is not in school yet so can't' enter a district or school and I will have to use my email address of course, is that correct. My daughter of course does not have one she is way to young. And can I use my library card to register her my daughter does not have one yet, do I need to see about getting her a library card first??

Answer

Your child should be registered under her own name.  You can use your library card number and email address, etc.  Select "Other/Undetermined" from the School District drop-down list.  If you have any more difficulties, call your local branch and they'll be happy to answer any questions or to finish registering your child over the phone.  Just a note:  Be sure to write down the Username and Password you've chosen!
